Ahead of the 2011 heating season, Biasi UK has announced the arrival of the ActivA Plus range of Sedbuk A rated boilers, which the company says combines innovative new technologies with superior build quality.
ActivA Plus offers combis with outputs of 30 kW and 35 kW, providing flow rates of 13.5L and 15.5L respectively per minimum rise of 35 deg C. Also available are 16 kW and 25 kW system models and all versions come with a five-year parts and labour warranty, giving peace of mind for the customer.
The range features a number of technologies designed to ensure it operates as energy efficiently as possible. All models contain weather compensation and a fuel saving device, which allows the boiler to interrogate a temperature sensor mounted on the exterior of the house to efficiently deliver heat to the property Providing some important features and benefits for the domestic installer and homeowner alike, ActivA Plus offers fast delivery of hot water, reduced waiting time and money saving thermal integration.
Key features include a large LCD display with integral seven day clock, keep hot function that reduces waiting time and a money saving flow sensor and temperature probe on cold water inlet.
Also included is a historical fault diagnostic and quad processor technology to enable the boiler to self-check its components to determine whether it should shut down. In some instances, it will bypass a problem if it presents no safety issue and will avoid ‘nuisance’ lockouts by retrying to establish ignition or attempting to clear a possible cause of a fault, helping to eliminate circumstances where the homeowner will be left without vital heating or hot water.

The ActivA Plus also features Biasi’s highly efficient and robust stainless steel heat exchanger, which ensures less corrosion and build up of lime scale, for greater reliability and superior build quality. The progressive design of the component greatly reduces scale precipitation, while ensuring maximum thermal extraction from the flue gases.
Designed for a quick and easy installation, the ActivA Plus comes with a full range of flue accessories. It also features a built-in anti-seizure function and frost protection, and Fuzzy Logic Technology which saves programming time is also included as standard
